Back home - Pics of Indore

I am finally back home after spending my last two weeks in Indore, India, working with my colleagues (and now very good friends too!) of the Indore offices of HotWax Media.
Even if I have to admit that life and customs in Indore are totally different, and somewhat shocking too, from what I am used to in Padova I can really say I had a great time because I have found there a lot of good friends that did all the possible (and more) to make me feel like I was home.
Here are some pictures about this great experience, including pictures of the Sayaji Hotel, the inauguration party for the new HWM offices, a birthday party in the office (Happy Birthday Jyotsna!), me having some pleasant moments (and drinks) in a pub with Ashish, Vikas, Mridul, Ratnesh, Pranay and Rishi, the street food, the chaotic traffic of the city, etc. etc.

very nice pics (what about a flickr account to share them?).

what about the food? tell us about indian cuisine for vegetarians. i think you tasted traditional dishes, not searching for pizza and spaghetti, as usually an italian tourist does abroad.

Andrea,

thanks for your comment.

About flickr: I have a Picasa account 9that should be similar) and in fact all (and more) of these pictures are there... however I think I still need to setup properly the permissions etc. If you are interested let me know and I can share them with you.

About the food: if you are vegetarian and you like spicy food then India is like Paradise; I really enjoyed the food (the one I had at the restaurant and most of all the home cooked food). But I must confess that in the last few days I started to feel home sick for spaghetti and pizza :-)

The most amazing thing is that vegetarians (i.e. vegetables and diary food, no meat, fish or eggs) rule there: at the buffet at the hotel the list of vegetarians food was very big, but just 1-2 "non-vegetarian" options (yes, there was really the label "non-vegetarian"... think about it... it's the World upside down).

PS: Andrea, do you have a blog? or at least an email address?
